          3 Thai electricity authorities jointly hosted CEAT – SP Group Friendly Games 2019 which aimed to strengthen the relations between Thai and Singapore utilities on January 17-19, 2019. The opening ceremony was held at Kamthon Sindhvanada Sports Center, and the sport players also visited EGAT Learning Center, Headquarters.

          On January 18, 2019, Mr. Viboon Rerksirathai, the Governor of Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), Mr. Thanee Parichatintranee, Deputy Governor-Finance of Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) and Mr. Suwat Chiochanchai Deputy Governor-ICT of Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) were the representatives of Combined Electricity Authority of Thailand (CEAT) to welcome Mr. Michael Chin, Chairman of SP PowerGrid, SP Group and join the opening ceremony of CEAT – SP Group Friendly Games 2019 at Kamthon Sindhvanada Sports Center, EGAT Headquarters in Bankruai District, Nonthaburi Province.

          The EGAT Governor said that CEAT – SP Group Friendly Games was traditionally held every year to strengthen the relationship among CEAT (EGAT, MEA, and PEA) and SP Group. For the year 2019, it was hosted by CEAT with EGAT as the host representative. The four kinds of sport that were held covered golf at Alpine Golf Course, Pathum Thani Province and futsal, netball, and sepak takraw at Kamthon Sindhvanada Sports Center.

          Besides, EGAT led the sport players and the team to visit EGAT learning center, Headquarters on the riverbank of Chao Phraya River that provides and shares knowledge on power and innovation.

          “The traditional sports competition is a way to strengthen the relationship of electricity utilities from the two countries. It is also the good chance for meeting and sharing ideas that will benefit the operation of our organizations for today and in the future,” said the EGAT Governor.
