          EGAT is ready for Sustainable Energy & Technology Asia (SETA 2016) Conference and Exhibition in this coming March and will send officers who are experts from various fields to share knowledge and experience in the conference and exhibit EGAT’s operation.


          Mr. Saharath Boonpotipukdee, Deputy Governor – Corporate Social Affairs, as the Chairman of EGAT-SETA 2016 Committee said that EGAT was ready to join SETA 2016 held on March 23-26, 2016 at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center, Bangkok. This was the first time Thailand would host the event.


          The Deputy Governor further commented that as Thailand aimed that by 2036 renewable energy would reach 20% of Thailand’s electricity generation, Thailand hosted SETA 2016 to enhance the development of energy and technology both in Thailand and in Asia. It would present Thailand as a leader of power industry in Asia. The conference topics covered 4 areas namely Energy Policy and Planning, Electrical Systems Technology, Transportation and Alternative Fuels, and Sustainable Energy and Green Technology.


          SETA 2016 will bring together executives in public and private sector, manufacturers, utility operators, researchers, scientists, engineers, economists, investors, and general public both in Thailand and abroad to exchange and share their experiences on sustainable uses of power in the region. EGAT will send officers to share the knowledge with other organizations across Asia. Moreover, the exhibition showing EGAT’s operational potency will be held to give knowledge to attendees. This will help drive Thailand toward the center of energy and technology knowledge in Asia.
