The rescue center was set up to coordinate and gather relief supplies for the victims with the cooperation from Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Authority and Electicite du Laos. On July 27, 2018 the trucks that carried 5,000 survival kits and 18,200 bottles of drinking water arrived in Laos.

          Moreover, on August 1, 2018 Mr. Saharath Boonpotipukdee, EGAT Deputy Governor-Renewable and New Energy was EGAT representative to hand 2 million baht to a representative of Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, Mr Chayaphol Thitisak, the Director-General. The donated money was accumulated to Thai Government for further giving to Laos Government.
