          Lampang Provincial Authority, EGAT, and TAT persuade the public to experience the sea of mist in the 14th Mae Moh Festival. The beauty of nature, exciting activities, and celebrities are waiting for every visitor on November 9-11, 2018 at EGAT Mae Moh in Lampang Province.

          On October 1, 2018, Lampang Provincial Authority collaborated with Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to hold the press conference of “the 14th Mae Moh Festival” which will occur on November 9-11, 2018 at EGAT Mae Moh in Lampang Province. Mr. Songpol Sawastham, Lampang Governor, Mr. Tawatchai Jakpaisal, EGAT Deputy Governor – Fuel, Ms. Ornprajit Na Patalung, TAT Deputy Director – Northern Region, and Mr. Ampon Kitichotkul, EGAT Assistant Governor – Mae Moh Mine joined the press conference at Building T.103, EGAT Headquarters, Nonthaburi.

          Mr. Songpol Sawastham, Lampang Governor, said that as the representative of Lampang Province, he would be pleased to welcome all visitors to join Mae Moh Festival which has been held for 14 consecutive years. Lampang natural tourist attractions, Lanna culture, local architectures, horse-carts, and ancient arts are waiting for the visitors. As the visitors will be impressed and revisit Lampang, the economic growth of the province will be enhanced, contributing to the increasing income for the community.

          Mr. Tawatchai Jakpaisal, EGAT Deputy Governor – Fuel said that Mae Moh Festival comes back in this year under the theme “the light of comfort sparked from missing.” The visitors will experience pure air and cool breeze amidst romantic atmosphere of the sea of mist and the Mexican sunflower field. Moreover, EGAT coordinates with Mae Moh communities to organize activities for the visitors including games and folk plays and OTOP product selling. All fun and happiness especially from the concert by celebrities will be also provided.

          Ms. Ornprajit Na Patalung, TAT Deputy Director – Northern Region, said that Mae Moh Festival was originated because of the cooperation between government sector and communities to develop EGAT site as a tourist attraction. The strength of Mae Moh District and Lampang Province which is comprised of natural beauty, the sea of mist, Mexican sunflower field, and local tourism activities will drive the domestic tourism business that brings income and creates jobs for the locals.

          Mr. Ampon Kitichotkul, EGAT Assistant Governor – Mae Moh Mine gave more details about the 14th Mae Moh Festival that light and sound performance on the stage will be shown by many celebrities. Moreover, there will be folk song challenge, dancing contest, bicycle racing, fun park, walking street selling OTOP products, and Mae Moh slider challenge. All visitors are welcome to participate in the activities at EGAT Mae Moh in this coming winter.
