         EGAT won four awards at the Outstanding State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) Awards 2018 including Outstanding Corporate Management Award: Honorary Prize, Outstanding Social and Environment Responsiveness Award, Outstanding Innovation Award: Innovation Excellence, and Strategic Collaboration: Collaboration for Development (Honorary Award). EGAT is proud to have played a part in sustainably driving the growth of Thailand’s economy and society.


         On August 24, 2018, General Prayuth Chan-ocha, Prime Minister of Thailand, chaired the Outstanding State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) Awards 2018 held by the State Enterprise Policy Office (SEPO) at Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at Central World. This year’s awarding ceremony was under the concept of “State Enterprise Empowerment for Sustainable Thai Economic Development” to support and encourage state-owned enterprises to cooperate.


         Mr. Viboon Rerksirathai, EGAT Governor said the four awards received were Outstanding Corporate Management Award, an Honorary Prize for winning in this category for three consecutive years; Outstanding Social and Environment Responsiveness Award; Outstanding Innovation Award; and Strategic Cooperation, an Honorary Award for the network cooperation with the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) and the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA). These awards reflect EGAT’s determination to manage the organization with good governance, transparency, and social responsibility, including to develop electricity innovation. EGAT, as a Thai state-owned enterprise, is proud to sustainably drive the national strategy for the happiness of Thai people.
