           “Move World Together: for power and environment” was approved by Ministry of Education to be representative from Thailand to join UNESCO - Japan Prize on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) 2016.


      Mr. Saharath Boonpotipakde, Deputy Governor-Corporate Social Affairs, said that Office of the Higher Education Commission, Ministry of Education had nominated Move World Together Project (MWT) to be Thai representative for UNESCO - Japan Prize on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) 2016. The project was already submitted for the UNESCO Committee to consider. MWT was outstanding on its competency for development of the youth that could create profitable inventions, leading to the sustainable development. The committee would announce the award result in September 2016. UNESCO regarded ESD as a crucial interest and set it as global Sustainable Development Goal – SDG by 2030.

        The Deputy Governor further commented that Move World Together was the cooperation among EGAT, Thammasat University, Department of Children and Youth, and Association for Developing Human Potentials and Giftedness that aimed to develop potential and creative thinking of the youth. It also enhanced the problem solving skill and creativity. From 2014 to 2016, inventions created by the MWT youth have received 28 awards.

          “EGAT will further support the development of the inventions so that they will be on the market, which will help increase the community income and benefit the country as a whole.” said the Deputy Governor.
