           EGAT held EGAT Quality Day 2015 under the theme “Development towards HPO, Global Top Quartile” between July 14-17, 2015 with the focus on developing human resources and quality control management in every working process as well as increasing competitive advantage in electricity business towards global top quartile.


          On July 14, 2015, Mr. Soonchai Kumnoonsate, Governor of Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), said that EGAT had developed generation and transmission systems across the country for Thai people countrywide to have sufficient power. EGAT gave an importance on quality management to be implemented in developing organization, by improving and developing working process to be more efficient. EGAT needed to develop human resources and work quality as well as improving working process and developing competence in electricity generation and transmission. It aimed for the growth in regional level and knowledge sharing to the public, leading to the sustainable growth and achievement on organizational strategy of being global top quartile utility.

          The Governor further said that EGAT Quality Day was held every year. For this 29th year, there was the exhibition on innovation, invention, knowledge management, and power development with corporate governance and social responsibility, leading EGAT to be the power center with sustainable quality. The exhibition was held under the theme “Development towards HPO, Global Top Quartile” between July 14-17, 2015 at EGAT head office, Bangkruai, Nonthaburi.


          There were many interesting activities including the panel discussion on “SEPA Group A, Who Is Outstanding on Which Section” which was the knowledge and experience sharing between executives from EGAT, Metropolitan Electricity Authority, and PTT Public Company Limited as well as the lecture on Human Resources Development towards Global Top Quartile by Dr. Kurujit Nakhonthap, the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Energy and the Chairman of EGAT’s Board of Directors. On July 15, 2015, there was the presentation on works of QCC and Kaizen as well as exhibition on knowledge management/learning organization and safety. There would be also the sale of various products including books, OTOP products from EGAT’s dams, and others for more than 100 booths.
