EGAT collaborated with Agri-Nature Foundation to deliver comprehensive training and disseminate knowledge based into implementation on the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy. It also promotes public awareness of watershed rehabilitation and sustainable development, rooted in Royal Initiatives and local wisdom. The philosophy of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great was shared through practical applications aligned with the principles of natural agriculture, enhancing self-reliance, and ensuring food, water, and energy security. The program also focused on job creation, income generation, and improving the socio-economic well-being of local communities.
In 2024, 1,374 participants, including youth, local residents, and communities were trained. Among these, 405 persons (29.5 %) has further developed the knowledge obtained from the training and 10 models (of areas/communities/ role model) (accumulated) were achieved from the adaptation of Khok Nong Na Model.
To achieve the project and honor the vision and compassion of King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, the United Nations officially declared December 5 of every year as World Soil Day to commemorate his Majesty’s foresight and lifelong dedication to sustainable soil development and conservation. EGAT organizes World Soil Day yearly, in conjunction with His Majesty’s birthday, as a tribute to his enduring contributions.
