Sports Association Promotion Project

EGAT integrates social responsibility into its core operations by prioritizing the development of youth, junior athletes, and national sports associations and help to enhance the nation’s sports capacity and personnel through the project of the “One Sport, One State Enterprise Plus” 

In 2024, EGAT provided a total financial support of 30,000,000 baht to various sports associations in accordance with a memorandum of cooperation. Additionally, A total of 8,400,000 baht was awarded to Thai national team as performance-based incentives in recognition of their achievements in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games as presented below:

Thai Amateur Weightlifting Association 

EGAT allocates an annual budget of 20,000,000 baht to support the “EGAT Thailand Weightlifting Championships for the Royal Trophy,” as well as to assist with preparations for the Olympic Games. This funding also extends to the training of youth, junior, and general athletes, and the advancement of sports science for weightlifters across Thailand.  

In 2024, EGAT awarded an additional 8,200,000 baht in performance-based incentives to the Thai national weightlifting team in recognition of their efforts and participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games 

The Rowing & Canoeing Association of Thailand 

EGAT provides an annual budget of 7,000,000 baht to the Thailand Rowing Championships for the Royal Trophy, held across three national venues each year. This initiative aims to identify, train, and develop rowing athletes at the youth, junior, and general levels, while enhancing their potential to compete in national and international events. It also promotes the advancement of coaches and sports personnel through ongoing capacity-building efforts. 

In 2024, EGAT awarded an additional 200,000 baht for sponsorship to the Thai national rowing team competing in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. 

Navy Football Club 

EGAT supports an annual budget of 3,000,000 baht to Thai Navy Football Club for nurturing talented young football player from communities surrounding EGAT’s facilities—including headquarters, dams, power plants, and high-voltage substations—with the goal of guiding them toward professional careers with the Navy Football Club. This budget supports the operations of the club and promotes the development of football players at both national and international levels.
