Sports Association Promotion Project
EGAT has long been committed to developing athletes at the youth and junior levels, while strengthening sports associations through its support under the “One Sport, One State Enterprise Plus” initiative, which aims to enhance the capabilities of Thailand’s athletes and sports personnel. In 2025, EGAT provided a total of 29 million baht in financial support to sports associations and clubs under memoranda of cooperation, as follows:
Thai Amateur Weightlifting Association
EGAT provides annual funding of 20 million baht to support the EGAT Thailand Weightlifting Championships for the Royal Trophy, as well as the preparation of athletes for major sporting events, including the SEA Games, Asian Games, Olympic Games, and other international competitions. The funding also supports training camps for youth, junior, and senior athletes, as well as the application of sports science to enhance athlete development.
The Rowing & Canoeing Association of Thailand
EGAT provides annual funding of 7 million baht to support the Thailand Rowing Championships for the Royal Trophy, held at three competition venues each year. The initiative aims to identify, select, nurture, and develop rowing athletes at the youth, junior, and senior levels, while enhancing their potential to compete in national and international competitions. The support also extends to capacity building for coaches and sports personnel.
Navy Football Club
EGAT provides annual funding of 2 million baht to support Navy Football Club, with the aim of nurturing young football players from communities surrounding EGAT facilities, including its headquarters, dams, power plants, and high-voltage substations, and preparing them for future selection as professional players with the club. The funding also supports the club’s operations and promotes the development of football players with the potential to compete at the national and international levels.
In 2025, EGAT organized three football academy training programs for young players from communities surrounding its facilities. The programs were held at Rajjaprabha Dam in Surat Thani Province, Bhumibol Dam in Tak Province, and Sirindhorn Dam in Ubon Ratchathani Province.
