EGAT wins Best Employer THAILAND 2022
28 November 2022EGAT won the award for Best Employer THAILAND 2022, reflecting EGAT as a leading organization that believes employees are valuable resources by supporting human resource development in all dimensions and building good experiences for employees, which is the heart of creating happiness in the organization and the foundation of driving sustainable development.

Mr. Boonyanit Wongrukmit, Governor of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) received the award for Best Employer THAILAND 2022 organized by Kincentric Thailand and Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration of Chulalongkorn University (Sasin), and joined in the “Best Practice Sharing” talk session on the topic of “Rethinking a culture that unlocks the power of people and teams” at Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok on November 23, 2022.

Mr. Boonyanit Wongrukmit said that the award was a result of the hard work and determination of all EGAT employees. EGAT believes employees of every sector are valuable resources and the foundation of driving the organization’s sustainable development. Therefore, EGAT’s human resource management focuses on work-life balance, happy working, as well as cultivating the SPEED value at the DNA level, so that employees are prepared for adaptation during crises. Moreover, EGAT has developed human resources continuously to be good and smart people, and ready to work for the country and the people under the concept “EGAT for ALL.”

The winners of this award were determined by Kincentric Thailand, a global human resource management consultant, and Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration of Chulalongkorn University, an international business school. In 2022, over 90 organizations from the public and private sectors applied for the award; EGAT is 1 of 11 organizations receiving the award and the only state-owned enterprise this year. The criteria for the award are 1) Employee opinion survey, 2) Evaluation of human resource efficiency with People Practices Index (PPI), and 3) Survey of top management opinion on corporate strategy and human resource management.
The five codes of conduct for the Best Employers include 1) Transparent communication to establish understanding, 2) Development and pursuit of outstanding experiences, 3) Exploration of strategy for adaptation, 4) Flexible workplace to support hybrid workplace, and 5) Manpower planning for the middle term and long term.
