EGAT ranks AA in 2022 Integrity and Transparency Assessment, reflecting its Clean Organization

EGAT ranks AA with a score of 96.65 from Integrity and Transparency Assessment (ITA) by Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC). It is the highest score since EGAT was first assessed by ITA. The score reflects EGAT’s determination in performing its operation with good governance. Moreover, EGAT executives and officials declared the intent to drive organizational good governance, morality, and transparency in “EGAT Clean Organization 2022.”

Mr. Kulit Sombatsiri, Permanent Secretary of Energy Ministry and Chairman of Board of Directors, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) chaired the opening ceremony of “EGAT Clean Organization 2022” held under the concept “EGAT’s morality, transparency, and good governance” and delivered a speech with the topic “EGAT’s operations with morality and transparency. The event was also attended by EGAT Board of Directors; Mr. Boonyanit Wongrukmit, EGAT Governor; EGAT executives and officials; and distinguished guests at Auditorium, EGAT 50th Anniversary Building, EGAT Headquarters.

Mr. Kulit Sombatsiri said that EGAT always adheres to good governance and morality, using organizational knowledge for benefits of the public. Despite various crises and transitions, EGAT continues to operate business with honesty.

“All EGAT personnel have full intention to work with transparency, reflected by high ITA scores every year. Especially in 2022, EGAT ranks AA with a score of 96.65 which is the highest score since EGAT was assessed by ITA for the first time in 2014. EGAT could also get the full score (100 points) in the indicators of anti-corruption and data disclosure. For other indicators, EGAT can improve the scores in the future. The executives must be the role models for EGAT personnel to be both smart and moral, which will further enhance public acceptance and drive the organization toward sustainability,” ended Mr. Kulit Sombatsiri.

Mr. Boonyanit Wongrukmit added that EGAT encourages all executives and officials to adhere to good governance and morality by organizing “EGAT Clean Organization” with the aim to show intent of good governance, transparency, and anti-corruption to gain the acceptance of all stakeholders.

In the event, there was a talk with the topic “What should be done for EGAT to be moral and transparent sustainably,” an honorary medal award ceremony for those who do good deeds for the country, the award ceremonies for 2021 model projects and EGAT role models, and the exhibition on good governance.
