EGAT Learning Center – Headquarters earns Kinnaree recognition as quality destination for sustainability

EGAT Learning Center – Headquarters received the Outstanding Award at the 15th Thailand Tourism Awards (Kinnaree Award) in the Tourism – Recreation Category, bestowed by Princess Ubol Ratana Rajakanya Sirivadhana Barnavadi.

On September 27, 2025, Princess Ubol Ratana Rajakanya Sirivadhana Barnavadi presided over the presentation of the 15th Kinnaree Awards, held by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to recognize excellence in quality tourism services. At Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, Miss Rutchadaporn Siangsanoh, Director of Corporate Communication and Public Relations Division, as the representative of Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), received the Outstanding Award in the Tourism – Recreation Category for EGAT Learning Center – Headquarters, honoring its excellence in social and environmental sustainability.

EGAT Director of Corporate Communication and Public Relations Division revealed that the Kinnaree Award highlights EGAT’s role in ensuring energy security while caring for society and the environment. This achievement reflects the collaboration between EGAT and the community, fostering learning, happiness, and inspiration for the society, sustainably. The EGAT Learning Center is regarded as “a home,” welcoming all visitors with cordiality. EGAT intends to raise the standards of its learning centers nationwide as energy-learning destinations, integrating cutting-edge technologies with social and environmental responsibility to achieve the goal of low-carbon tourism.

The Thailand Tourism Awards or Kinnaree Awards is one of the most prestigious awards of the tourism industry, continuously presented by the TAT for 30 years since 1996, recognizing tourism services with excellence in quality development, service standards, and international competitiveness.

In 2023, EGAT won four awards in the 14th Kinnaree Awards: 1) Thailand Tourism Gold Award on Learning Tourist Destination for EGAT Learning Center – Headquarters, Nonthaburi Province; 2) A certificate on Low-carbon Tourism for Sustainability for EGAT Learning Center – Headquarters, Nonthaburi Province; 3) Thailand Tourism Silver Award for EGAT Learning Center – Lam Takong, Nakhon Ratchasima Province; 4) A certificate on Learning Tourist Destination for Museum of the Lignite Study Center (Mae Moh Mine) in Honor of King Prajadhipok (Rama VII), Lam Pang Province. In 2021, EGAT received an Excellent Thailand Tourism Gold Awards on Learning Tourist Destination for Lamtakong Jolabha Vadhana Power Plant and an Excellent Tourism Award for EGAT Learning Center – Lam Takong in the 13th Kinnaree Awards, as well.
