EGAT wins five SOE Awards 2025, maintaining energy security through innovations coupled with social and environmental responsibility
23 December 2025EGAT won five SOE Awards 2025, reflecting its determination to develop innovations for the security of the national power system coupled with social and environmental responsibility, as well as enhance energy efficiency to move toward sustainability.


On December 22, 2025, Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, presided over the awarding ceremony of the State-owned Enterprise (SOE) Awards 2025 organized by the State Enterprise Policy Office. On this occasion, Associate Professor Kulyos Audomvongseree, Member of the Board of Directors of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT); Mr. Narin Phoawanich, EGAT Governor; and EGAT executives received the awards at Santi Maitree Building, Government House.
EGAT received five SOE Awards 2025 as follows:

1. Digital State Enterprise Development Award for utilizing digital technology in its operation to benefit the organization and its stakeholders

2. Sustainable State Enterprise Development Award for the commitment to driving the organization toward sustainability in the economic, social, and environmental dimensions

3. Outstanding Social and Environmental Operation Award for the ‘Mae Moh Smart City Project’ which develops the area of Mae Moh District, Lampang Province by collaborating with the community, public sector, educational institutions, private sector, and alliance network, as well as carrying out activities that positively impact the economy, society, and environment, to ensure that EGAT and the community grow together sustainably

4. Outstanding Creativity and Innovation Award: Innovation Category for the ‘EGAT Line Fault Locator Type C+’ which helps maintain the stability of the transmission system, quickly solves transmission system problems, and enhances the power system security of the country

5. Outstanding Strategic Cooperation for Development Award for the ‘EGAT-GHB Sustainable Energy-efficiency House Development for Thais Project,’ a collaboration which combines the skills of two organizations to upgrade energy consumption in the residential sector and solve structural problems in the energy system and credit market
