EGAT Learning Center – Headquarters to re-open on Nov. 2

        On November 2, 2021, EGAT Learning Center – Headquarters will reopen to the public. All are welcome to enjoy the world of energy and learn about electricity. Meanwhile, COVID-19 preventive measures will be implemented in every zone and area. On this occasion, the center has also prepared activities and souvenirs for visitors.

          Mr. Suttipong Chalermkiat, Assistant Governor – Sustainability Management of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) said that EGAT Learning Center – Headquarters will open to the public again on November 2, 2021 after its temporary close to comply with COVID-19 preventive and control measures during the latest wave of COVID-19 infections in Thailand. The reopening theme of “Open Now Cha-Cha-Cha” aims to invite all to have fun in the world of energy.

          The Assistant Governor further said that EGAT Learning Center – Headquarters was certified COVID Free Setting in a COVID-control system called THAI STOP COVID 2 PLUS by Department of Health, which assures that the center is hygienic and safe; and could reopen under strict COVID-19 preventive and control measures for both of the place and staff. For example, air conditioning system must be cleaned and the building must be sanitized by disinfectant cleaning solution before service. High-touch surfaces, such as handrail and doors, must be cleaned every 1-2 hours. Moreover, hand sanitizers must be provided in every zone, and there must be a temperature check point to screen staff and visitors before entering the building. The staff of the center must get 2 doses of COVID-19 vaccine or test negative with an antigen test kit (ATK) or RT-PCR (Polymerase chain reaction) in compliance with COVID-19 preventive measures of Nonthaburi Public Health Office.

          Besides, with a concern on health and safety of the visitors, the center has adjusted an exhibition tour to be comprised of not more than 10 people per group. Advance reservation then is required, and visitors must register on the Thai Chana and Thai Save Thai platforms before entering and after leaving the building. Last but not least, the staff and visitors must wear sanitary masks at all times during the visit and strictly keep social distancing.
