EleX by EGAT opens at IMPACT Exhibition Center ahead of year-end Motor Expo
1 November 2022EGAT and IMPACT signed an MOU on providing EV charging station services to support the EV transition in Thailand by installing and opening EleX by EGAT charging stations at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani ahead of Motor Expo 2022.
On October 31, 2022, Mr. Paul Kanjanapas, Chief Executive Officer of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., and Mr. Warit Rattanachuen, Assistant Governor – Research, Innovation and Business Development (Project Management Office) of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on providing charging station services to support the EV transition in Thailand. IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. and IMPACT Growth Real Estate Investment Trust, along with EGAT will jointly develop and provide services to EV users visiting IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani by installing EleX by EGAT charging stations in the area. The ceremony was joined by executives from both organizations at the EGAT 50th Anniversary Building, EGAT Headquarters, Nonthaburi Province.
Mr. Warit Rattanachuen revealed that for this cooperation, EGAT will design and install EleX by EGAT charging stations at the location suggested by IMPACT and make sure that the system is ready for continuous use, as well as give consultants to users online.
There will be two EleX by EGAT charging stations at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center with a total of 13 charging slots: nine AC normal chargers and four 60 – 125 kW DC fast chargers. As a result, this location will have the highest number of chargers in Nonthaburi Province.
EGAT has been developing, installing, and opening EleX by EGAT charging stations since 2021 to support the EV transition in Thailand by providing a complete EV ecosystem, namely chargers, charging stations, a platform for managing charging stations, as well as the “EleXA” application. Currently, EGAT has opened 80 EleX by EGAT charging stations and network stations nationwide and plans to reach over 100 stations by the end of 2022 so that EV users can feel assured while traveling the country, as well as in their daily lives.
