Kwai Noi Bumrung Dan Dam

Background

Kwai Noi Bumrung Dan Dam is an initiated project by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great to relieve the burden of farmers in the areas of lower Kwae Noi River basin faced with flood. The dam is also the water source for planting as well as for consumption.

The construction of Kwai Noi Bumrung Dan Dam began on January 21, 2003 and completed in 2011. His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn performed the opening ceremony of Kwai Noi Bumrung Dan Dam on July 7, 2012.
