EGAT Learning Centers win 4 Kinnaree Awards as sustainable low-carbon tourist destination

Princess Ubol Ratana Rajakanya Sirivadhana Barnavadi conferred 4 awards of the 14th Thailand Tourism Awards (Kinnaree Awards) on learning tourist destination to EGAT Learning Centers .

On September 27, 2023, Princess Ubol Ratana Rajakanya Sirivadhana Barnavadi bestowed the 14th Thailand Tourism Awards 2023 (Kinnaree Awards) to the representative of Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) which were Mr. Nutthavutthi Chamchang Acting Governor of Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and Mr. Thidade Eiamsai, EGAT Deputy Governor – Power Plant Development and Renewable Energy. The Kinnaree Awards were held by Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to certify product quality and tourism services in line with sustainability and social and environmental responsibility.

EGAT won four awards: Thailand Tourism Gold Award on Learning Tourist Destination and a certificate on Low-carbon Tourism for Sustainability from EGAT Learning Center – Headquarters, Nonthaburi Province; Thailand Tourism Silver Award from EGAT Learning Center – Lam Takong, Nakhon Ratchasima Province; and a certificate on Learning tourist Destination from Museum of the Lignite Study Center (Mae Moh Mine) in Honor of King Prajadhipok (Rama VII), Lam Pang Province. The received awards reflect EGAT’s determination to raise the standards of EGAT Learning Centers nationwide to be the learning centers on Thai energy with advanced technologies and social and eco-friendliness, toward the goal of sustainable low-carbon tourism.
