Assistance to affected people in the evacuation
As the construction of Bang Lang Dam had affected the locals of around 1,100 families living in Bannang Sata and Than To Districts, EGAT, in cooperation with relevant government agencies gave assistance and compensation to them for land and property in a fair and equitable manner. Moreover, land of 20 rai (2 rai for living and 18 rai for planting) was allocated to each family.

Assistance in agriculture
EGAT promotes the establishment of a cooperative by allocating the fund of 10 million Baht for a soft loan.

Corporate social responsibility
EGAT gives no less importance to corporate social responsibility (CSR) than power generation. Participatory CSR is to support and develop community relations as a system for sustainable benefits. CSR is conducted to enhance good relations with the community and promote their understanding of EGAT’s mission which will result in cooperation of the community and their support for EGAT operation to promote community development.
