EGAT, taking into account the happiness and benefit of community and society, has implemented the CSR after process through the activities based on the main competency on social acceptance as follows:

1. Promotion of using community products as souvenirs on special occasions
2. Employment of local people in the power plant
3. Provision of space for selling products in the power plant or in EGAT area
4. Project of occupational promotion by training or study visit
5. Project of promoting local wisdom and tradition
6. Provision of blankets to community in cold season
7. Provision of water for consumption in the drought season
8. Promotion of work or activity relating to public benefit
9. Project of environmental promotion such as energy conservation, Nam Phong River conservation, tree planting, fish release into public canals, and use of microorganism in the household, schools, and in agriculture
10. Educational promotion by giving scholarships to students around the power plant and to children of the local employees in the power plant
11. The learning center of electricity generation for interested people all over the country

Advantages of the power plant

1. To increase the power source in the Northeastern part to be more secure
2. To promote the use of natural resources in the country for the maximum benefit
3. To reduce the transfer of electricity from the North and the Central parts to the Northeast, resulting in the substantial decrease of power loss in the transmission system.
4. To distribute local employment and generate more income to the locals
