EGAT and Dhipaya join hands to promote health tourism

EGAT and Dhipaya Insurance have studied the development of insurance products and services to support health tourism, raising the potential of wellness industry.

On February 1, 2024, Miss Supap Pradapkarn, Assistant Managing Director, Dhipaya Insurance Public Company Limited, and Mr. Charan Khumngeon, Deputy Governor – Generation of Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), had entered into a 1-year-term agreement to increase the potential of wellness industry, aiming at creating the ecosystem of high-value economy for Thailand, at EGAT Headquarters, Bang Kruai District, Nonthaburi.       

Mr. Charan Khumngeon, EGAT Deputy Governor – Generation, revealed that EGAT has realized the increasing popularity of the wellness industry that can significantly create value and growth for the country. EGAT therefore implements the project to drive the wellness economic corridor, covering four aspects: health tourism, health service, herb development, and food. The project aims to raise the capabilities of project areas in line with each provincial strategy, integrated in eight areas of EGAT dams and power plants to be developed into a high-value industry of the country.

Miss Supap Pradapkarn, Assistant Managing Director, Dhipaya Insurance Public Company Limited, said that Dhipaya Insurance is a part of the wellness economic corridor in driving missions in response to governmental policies. It focuses on studying and developing insurance products and services to highly meet customer’s needs, efficiently enhance the project’s ecosystem, and bolster the creation of new high-value activities in the wellness industry, contributing to making Thailand as a hub of health tourism of Asia.
