EGAT wins Prime Minister Award for advancing startup ecosystem and competitiveness through innovation

EGAT has won the Prime Minister Award: National Startup 2026, recognizing its commitment to fostering an innovative ecosystem through its support of INNOPOWER and InnoSpace, increasing the country’s competitiveness through innovation, and moving toward a sustainable clean energy transition.

On June 25, 2026, Mr. Julapun Amornvivat, Minister of Labour, presided over the Prime Minister Award 2026 presentation ceremony, held at Siam Paragon, Bangkok. On this occasion. Mr. Warit Rattanachuen, Deputy Governor – Strategy, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), represented EGAT in receiving the Prime Minister Award: National Startup 2026 in the category of Best Brotherhood of the Year.

Mr. Warit Rattanachuen, EGAT Deputy Governor – Strategy, said that the Prime Minister Award: National Startup 2026, Best Brotherhood of the Year category, reflects EGAT’s intention to enhance an innovative ecosystem that enables startup development and growth. Through the operations of INNOPOWER and InnoSpace under EGAT Group, EGAT is accelerating the development of innovations to support the sustainable clean energy transition.           

INNOPOWER focuses its investments in domestic and international technologies and businesses related to clean energy innovations, sustainability, and decarbonization solutions, covering consulting services, business sustainability management, and energy innovation development.

InnoSpace was established through collaboration between the public and private sectors to support early-stage investments in Thai startups, especially in deep technologies, driving Thailand toward becoming a regional innovation hub.

“EGAT and EGAT Group not only generate electricity to ensure power system security but also foster an innovative ecosystem and boost Thai startups for sustainable growth. We are committed to developing innovations as a new S-curve for Thailand and enhancing national competitiveness through innovation,” Mr. Warit concluded.
