Water used in power plant
Chana Power Plant uses water for electricity generation and other activities from 2 sources, namely Khlong Na Tub and Khlong Phoma.
- Khlong Na Tub
The water is used as cooling water in the cooling system. Block 1 uses water of approximately 15,696 m3 per day, while Block 2 uses water of approximately 18,262 m3 per day’
- Khlong Phoma
The water is used in other activities and systems of the power plant. The water is pumped from the canal in the rainy season to store in 2 raw water wells with the total capacity of 900,000 m3 in the power plant. Block 1 uses water of approximately 600 m3 per day, while Block 2 uses water of approximately 620 m3 per day.
