27 March 2024EGAT opened “Elextrosphere: The New Carbon-Neutral World” zone at EGAT Learning Center – Headquarters to share knowledge about energy and the benefits of creating carbon balance with public participation and enjoyment.
On March 25, 2024, the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) organized a special tour for the media to explore the learning center’s newly redesigned “Elextrosphere: The New Carbon-Neutral World” exhibition. Miss Rutchadaporn Siangsanoh, EGAT Director of Corporate Communication and Public Relations Division, along with executives of the learning center led the tour at EGAT Learning Center – Headquarters in Bang Kruai District, Nonthaburi Province.
EGAT redesigned Zones 2 and 5 of the EGAT Learning Center – Headquarters with modern technologies so that the youth and visitors can experience the excitement of interactive learning about energy under the EGAT Carbon Neutrality strategy. The exhibition is presented through five special senses using five techniques as follows:
Zone 2 Elextrosphere: The New Carbon-Neutral World
- Elextrosphere: The New Carbon-Neutral World is an exhibition about the future of energy which takes you to experience the virtual world. Journey to experience what our world will be like if faced with violent climate change as well as the beauty of the imaginary world where all living things live in harmony at the Light up Carbon Land. It uses the technique called Interactive Immersive Experience & Theater 6D – 8K to show a 6-dimemsion movie on a giant 30-meter-long movie screen.
Zone 5 Create Carbon Balance
- Is carbon the bad guy? Uncover the truth of the cause of global warming, the start of a massive disaster. Find the carbon existing around us through AR interactive technique.
- Energy powers life. Travel back to the time when electricity was discovered. Learn about EGAT’s clean electricity generation technology that is eco-friendly through the Model Interactive Projection Mapping Graphic Wall technique.
- Welcome to ELEXTROSPHERE. Advance toward “EGAT CARBON NEUTRALITY” under the Triple S strategy: Reduce, Offset, and Store, such as the implementation of grid modernization to support the increase of renewable energy and manage the future energy through the Projection Mapping Interactive & AR Interactive technique.
- Decorate the ELEXTROSPHERE. Enjoy carbon capture activities to create sustainable energy balance and restore life to the eternal light tree. Participate in building the new carbon-neutral world by releasing creative energy and decorating the ELEXTROSPHERE through the Touch Screen L&S Interactive Projection Mapping technique.
In addition to the two newly designed zones, the other five interesting zones comprise Zone 1 Spark: Spark the first light by registering to receive RFID and transform into an avatar, Zone 3 Rebalance: Experience the future life in which humans, nature, and technology coexist in harmony, Zone 4 Pride by Chao Phraya: Follow the mission of community care from watershed forest down to Chao Phraya River carried out in parallel with electricity generation for Thai happiness, Zone 6 One World: Explore the world of electric power of various countries, and Zone 7 Enlightenment: Wrap up the experience of pursuing the light and join forces for “eternal light of happiness.”
